The argument of “marriage equality” really fails: there is no inequality. A legal inequality means that one person or group of people are in some way singled out by the law. Such is not the case with marriage. To illustrate: a homosexual man is not legally allowed to marry another man. I (as a heterosexual) am also not legally allowed to marry another man. I (as a heterosexual) am legally allowed to marry a consenting, non-related woman of legal age. A homosexual man is also legally allowed to marry a consenting, non-related woman of legal age. The law applies the same to both hetero- and homosexuals. The “inequality” is not legal, it’s an inequality of desire - which is not Constitutionally protected.

Exactly. There are a few legitimate arguments in favor of same-sex marriage. But ‘equality’ has nothing to do any of them.
